Admittedly, I had not read or used an audiobook before taking up this particular project. From a young age, I was always someone who preferred reading content as opposed to merely hearing it with no visual aid. That being said, my first experience of using audio was very pleasant! For the sake of using it as it was, I did my best to listen to it while I was doing other things (and not reading the e-book alongside it). With the narrator’s very passionate voice acting, it helped immerse me further in whatever story I was listening to and how I understood it. The narration and musical accompaniment with each story
certainly helped set the tone and helped the reader really soak in the plot and the character’s dialogue with each spoken word.
I encourage every student to try and find an audiobook that would interest them and give it a shot as it certainly served as an interesting and enriching experience for me.

It's pretty good, i bought this for an assignment and i enjoyed most of the stories, would listen to again.

This is honestly my first time listening to an audiobook as I was never really interested in
them. I did not think that I would enjoy this audiobook as much because I am not really an avid
reader. However, after going through this audiobook, I am deeply motivated and inspired to
further explore Philippine Literature. Of course, the short stories were already wonderful in themselves,
but what made me enjoy and appreciate them, even more, was how they were narrated. How
they were being narrated allowed me to further immerse myself in the story, which made me feel
as if I was a character in them. Because of this, I felt the necessary feelings and emotions that
each story was portraying. This was truly a unique experience for me and I would definitely
recommend it to not just my fellow students, but even my relatives and family members as well.

My audiobook experience has been mostly positive. I learned quite a bit about Filipino literature, while doing my daily tasks. Although there were moments where I had to replay some parts of the stories, I was still able to follow the story as if I were reading a physical book.

Listening to the stories is like listening to a friend of her day's affairs; sometimes funny, at
times gloomy. It is like having a glimpse of the world in another's perspective; narrating them like
we're an audience in a theater, only that hearing is the sense of use and everything is left for the
imagination. Everything is new but familiar altogether. Stories of people from different walks of life,
all in the comforts of my own home in a chair seated in the corner of my room. Now I realize the
power that stories have. Told or seen, they can take a person slumped at home into new places and
bring the imagination to see through and think through the whys and hows of another person's life.
In times like this where we are all pulled a step away from social interactions, it is a comfort to find
a friend who'd tell you gossip, albeit in a one-way communication, of life lessons which we can
definitely learn a thing or two from.
